ALONSO takes Ferrari to Victory once again!

Pictures from Korean Grand Prix 2010 and my commentary (see below the pictures)

Fernando Alonso leads the drivers' championship after victory in the inaugural Korean Grand Prix followed by McLaren's Lewis Hamilton in 2nd position and Ferrari team mate Felipe Massa on 3rd Position on the Podium.

Sebastian Vettel perhaps cursed by the gods up above sadly retired from the lead just when only 5 laps were left for him to smell the victory, to reach glory and conquer the Korean track. What's believed to be an engine problem might have been a result of sharpnel that caused the fire in the engine.

Vettel, I truly am sorry to curse for the exact to happen. But I know that you're unharmed and hey, whatever works for me to win the bet! Which I did.. Woo-Hoo :-)

On the more serious note, there are only two more races left of 2010 season. With Mark Webber only 11 points (total 220) behind Alonso (total 231) and Hamilton closely following on the 3rd position (total 210) the driver's championship still is within any of these contenders' reach. It has been an exciting season and I can't wait to see the final results in a few weeks time when the final F1 GP at Abu Dhabi rolls out.

I got excited far too early! 9 Ferrari 458 Italia cars die. When investigated the reported incidents of spontaneous fires in the 458, traced the problem to materials in the wheel arch lining and heat shield. According to Ferrari, the glue securing the wheel arch lining and heat shield can melt and deform when under high operating temperatures. When this comes into contact with the exhaust, "the glue can smoke and the wheel arch liner can ignite".
